Ukraine calls Finland to close borders with Russia

Ukraine's Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba held a meeting with his Finnish counterpart Pekka Haavisto on September 21, during which he called on Finland to close the border with Russia.

Kuleba announced this on Twitter, writes European Pravda.

"Met with my Finnish counterpart Pekka Haavisto. We focused on further military aid to Ukraine as we defend our people and our land from the ongoing Russian aggression. I called on Finland to join the Baltic states and Poland in sealing the border with Russia," Kuleba tweeted.

For his part, Haavisto noted on Twitter that he discussed humanitarian, financial and material-technical assistance with Kuleba, and assured him that "Finland continues to support Ukraine."
