Ukraine calls on EU to Act decisively as war dynamics shift
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha said that Ukraine and Europe have a “strong position” and must act more decisively to help bring an end to the war.
Sybiha made the remarks during talks with EU counterparts, Caliber.Az reports, citing European Pravda.
“Ukraine has the cards. Europe has the cards. We have a strong position. It is time to play it. As the dynamics of the war are changing and Ukraine’s asymmetric strategy is delivering results, it is now exactly the time for Europe to act decisively and bring peace closer — as a complement to the main negotiation track led by the United States,” Sybiha said.
He outlined a series of proposed measures, including a ceasefire in air and maritime space, the demilitarization of the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant, the creation of a humanitarian corridor from the occupied city of Oleshky, and the return of civilian hostages.
Sybiha also stressed that sanctions and frozen Russian assets remain key instruments of pressure, adding that they should be used more effectively.
