Ukraine claims drone hit on Transneft-linked fuel facility in Vladimir region

27 June 2026 13:55

Ukraine’s Security Service (SBU) says it has carried out a drone strike on a key Russian oil infrastructure facility supplying fuel to the Moscow region, marking the second such attack on the site this month.

In a statement on June 27, the SBU said its special forces unit “Alpha” targeted the Vtorovo oil pumping station in Russia’s Vladimir region, which is operated by Transneft-Verkhnyaya Volga, part of the state-controlled pipeline monopoly Transneft.

The agency said the facility plays a “critical logistical role” in transporting refined petroleum products towards Moscow and export routes via Baltic Sea ports. It added that drones struck technical buildings at the site, triggering explosions.

The SBU also said the station had previously been targeted on June 10.
