Ukraine drone strike hits Russian infrastructure - Belgorod governor

The Ukrainian armed forces carried out a drone attack on an infrastructure facility in Russia's borderline Belgorod Region, Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov said.

He added that Ukrainians employed a fixed-wing unmanned aerial vehicle near the village of Tomarkovka in Yakovlevsky District, TASS reports.

He noted that there were no casualties, though dry grass ignited, resulting in a blaze that spread across an area of 400 square meters before being promptly extinguished by firefighters.

Additionally, he highlighted the geographical distinction that Yakovlevsky District, located northwest of the city of Belgorod, does not share a border with Ukraine’s Kharkiv Region.
