Ukraine expects to get first tanks from partners soon
Ukrainian Defence Minister Oleksii Reznikov has said that Ukraine expects to get the first tanks with trained crews from its partners soon.
“The free world has created a “tank coalition” to help Ukraine win this war. We expect to get the first tanks with trained Ukrainian crews from partners soon,” Reznikov said, according to RBC-Ukraine.
The minister also joked that tonight four Russian tanks appeared in the EU and NATO, referring to the transfer of several seized Russian tanks by Ukraine to partners.
“However, there is a nuance. Citizens of four countries, namely, Germany, Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia, will simultaneously see that Russian tanks can appear in Europe through Ukraine only as museum exhibits thanks to Ukrainian soldiers on February 24,” Reznikov added.
He reminded that the first such expositions were observed in Poland and the Czech Republic in the summer.
“This should also be a signal for the Russians. Europe will look at their real face. Previously, it caused total fear, while now disgust and contempt. More Europeans will be convinced that Russia may be and should be defeated on the battlefield and it is better to do it in Ukraine,” Reznikov added.
