Ukraine extends martial law for more 90 days

The Verkhovna Rada – the parliament of Ukraine voted to extend the existing martial in the country law for 90 days, until August 23, 2022.

The decision was made on May 22, according to RBC-Ukraine.

In addition, the period of the general mobilization was also extended in the country.

Martial law throughout the country was introduced on 24 February. On May 18, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, proposed to extend it and submitted a corresponding bill to the Rada.

Russia has been waging a bloody war in the territory of Ukraine since February 24, 2022.
