Ukraine, Finland step up cooperation on European security
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy spoke by phone with his Finnish counterpart Alexander Stubb to discuss security issues and coordination across Europe, Zelenskyy reported on his Telegram channel.
The leaders stressed the importance of close cooperation amid a volatile international environment. Zelenskyy also updated Stubb on his recent diplomatic engagements in the Middle East and the Persian Gulf region, highlighting that several strategic agreements have already been reached.
Both presidents agreed to enhance communication with other European leaders and to continue collaborative efforts to safeguard regional security.
The conversation also addressed a recent drone incident on Finnish territory. Zelenskyy said that Kyiv and Helsinki share a common assessment of the situation and continue to exchange critical information.
