Ukraine imposes sanctions on Russian entities over propaganda, cultural theft
Ukraine has announced new sanctions targeting 29 Russian entities and 15 organizations linked to Russian administrations, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said on X.
"They support Russian aggression and the occupation of Ukrainian territories, spread Russian propaganda, distort history and facts, and steal our documents from archives, as well as cultural treasures from museums and reserves on the temporarily occupied Crimean Peninsula," Zelenskyy wrote, Caliber.Az reports.
Russians have a long-standing tradition of using historical falsehoods, manipulation, and silence as weapons. But there is no Russian weapon that we have not learned to destroy, and we will overcome this ideological weapon of theirs as well – sanctions are one of the instruments.…

He emphasiwed that Russia has long used “historical falsehoods, manipulation, and silence as weapons,” but added that Ukraine has learned to counter such tactics.

Zelenskyy also noted efforts to coordinate sanctions internationally, saying Ukraine is “working to synchronize sanctions across international jurisdictions” and will share relevant information with partners for further action.
