Ukraine imposes sanctions on Russian judges, media outlets

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has signed a decree enforcing a decision of the National Security and Defence Council of Ukraine introducing sanctions against Russian media outlets and judges accused of issuing unlawful rulings against Ukrainian citizens.

The decree, No. 493/2026, was published on June 12 on the official website of the President of Ukraine.

Under the document, the sanctions package targets a total of 29 individuals and 17 legal entities.

The measures are part of Ukraine’s broader sanctions policy aimed at responding to actions deemed harmful to its national interests and legal system.
