Ukraine in dire need of ammunition, drones Ex-president says
Former Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko said during a speech in the Verkhovna Rada that the Ukrainian armed forces are in dire need of ammunition and drones.
At the same time, tens of thousands of necessary devices, according to the politician, are stored in state warehouses and remain unused. The theses of his speech Poroshenko published in Telegram-channel, Kommersant informs.
"Today near morning I returned from the front. And to say that there are not enough shells - nothing to say. This is what our fighters are saying. To say that there is not enough air defence - nothing to say. We must do everything possible to accelerate the provision of this assistance from our partners. And the state must establish serial production within the country," the message reads.
Petro Poroshenko also called on the Ukrainian authorities to establish the production of means of electronic warfare and accelerate the construction of deeply echeloned fortifications.
"We should sow the entire territory there with mines, so that we do not stop the Russian offensive with the blood of Ukrainian soldiers," the former Ukrainian president pointed out.
