Ukraine instructs its military to retreat from Severodonetsk

Head of the Luhansk Regional Military Administration Serhii Haidai has said that the Ukrainian military was instructed to retreat from the Severodonetsk city to more fortified positions.

“There is such a situation when it does not make sense to be in positions that have been destroyed for many months just for being there. The number of servicemen who are killed in unfortified territories may grow each day,” Interfax-Ukraine quotes Haidai as saying.

“Therefore, such a decision was made for our defenders who are there [in Severodonetsk] to move to new fortified positions and conduct military operations from there,” Haidai told Freedom TV channel on June 24.
