Ukraine moves to extend martial law until November
13 July 2026 15:03
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has submitted draft legislation to the Verkhovna Rada proposing a 90-day extension of martial law and general mobilization as the country continues to operate under wartime measures.
According to Ukrainian media reports, the bills have already been registered in parliament. If approved by lawmakers, the extension would keep both martial law and general mobilization in force until November 5, 2026.
The current measures are set to expire on August 2. Their latest extension was signed into law by Zelenskyy on April 30, following approval by the Verkhovna Rada.
