Ukraine, Netherlands launch cooperation in drones, air defence
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a meeting with Dutch Prime Minister Rob Jetten, during which key attention was paid to security issues.
Zelenskyy wrote about the meeting on his Telegram channel.
According to him, Ukraine proposed a special defence cooperation framework with the Netherlands — a so-called “Drone Deal”.
“Ukraine proposed to the Netherlands a format of a special security agreement — our Drone Deal. And this is not only about drones as such, but about the comprehensive development of all air defence capabilities: protection against missiles and drones, development of electronic warfare systems, and joint weapons production. We have instructed our teams to work out all the details, and we have signed documents to begin this work — both on the Drone Deal and on the first joint production specifically with the Netherlands,” the statement said.
