Ukraine places governor of Russia's Tver region on wanted list

Ukraine’s Security Service (SBU) has placed the governor of Russia’s Tver region, Igor Rudenya, on a wanted list, according to Ukrainian government documents.

The documents say a court in Ternopil convicted Rudenya in absentia, sentencing him to eight years in prison with confiscation of property, Caliber.Az reports, citing Ukrainian media. 

He was found guilty of financing activities aimed at overthrowing Ukraine’s constitutional order and altering its state borders.

Ukrainian authorities allege that Rudenya provided material support to participants in Russia’s so-called “special operation” and personally visited the Zaporizhzhia region.
