Ukraine planning provocations with British intelligence, says Russian SVR
Ukraine is reportedly preparing to intensify sabotage activities against Russia in coordination with European intelligence agencies, according to a statement released by the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR).
Citing undisclosed intelligence, the SVR claimed that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has instructed the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) and the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defence (GUR MO) to scale up covert operations, Caliber.Az reports via Russian media.
According to Russian Intelligence, the move comes amid "growing problems" for the Ukrainian Armed Forces on the battlefield.
The agency further alleged that Ukraine, with British support, is currently working on operations in the Baltic Sea.
"One of the scenarios involves staging an alleged Russian torpedo attack on a US Navy ship. The torpedoes of Soviet/Russian manufacture have already been handed over by the Ukrainian side to the British. It is planned that some of them will explode at a 'safe distance' from the American ship, and one will not work and will be presented to the public as evidence of Russia's 'malicious activity.' The Ukrainian security forces are ready to take on the execution of the plan," the statement reads.
