Ukraine reports dead and injured after massive wave of Russian strikes photo
Russian strikes caused casualties and widespread destruction in Ukraine’s Dnipropetrovsk and Zaporizhzhia regions, regional authorities reported.
According to the head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, Oleksandr Ganja, one person was killed during attacks on the region. A 54-year-old man died in the Marhanets community in Nikopol. The strikes also hit the district centre as well as the Myrove, Krasnohryhorivka, and Pokrovske communities.
The attacks damaged a multi-story residential building, a dormitory, and more than 30 private homes, along with outbuildings. A transport enterprise and a fire station were also destroyed or damaged. In the Kryvyi Rih district, Russian forces targeted transport infrastructure.
Separately, in the Zaporizhzhia region, one person was killed, and seven others were injured as a result of Russian attacks, according to a Telegram post by regional administration head Ivan Fedorov.
Over the past 24 hours, Russian forces carried out a total of 638 strikes on 40 settlements across the region. These included 22 airstrikes, 448 drone attacks of various types — mostly FPV drones — five strikes using multiple launch rocket systems, and 163 artillery attacks.
Authorities recorded 136 reports of damage affecting residential buildings, vehicles, and infrastructure facilities.
