Ukraine, Russia exchange bodies of dead soldiers
Russia and Ukraine have held another exchange of bodies of dead soldiers.
The bodies of 50 servicemen were returned to Ukraine, RBC-Ukraine reports, citing the Ministry for the Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine.
“On the frontline in the Zaporizhzhya region, an exchange of bodies of dead soldiers between Ukraine and Russia took place according to the 50-50 formula,” the ministry’s press service reports.
It is said that among the 50 dead Ukrainian servicemen there are 37 defenders of the Azovstal metallurgical plant.
The process of returning the bodies of the dead soldiers continues.
Earlier on June 2, Ukraine and Russia completed the next swap of the bodies of the dead personnel. During the negotiations, an agreement was reached on the exchange of bodies according to the "160 to 160" formula.
