Ukraine: Russian troops massively refuse to fight

Dissatisfaction with holding hostilities is growing in the units of the Russian troops. 

This was reported by the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Defence Ministry of Ukraine, according to Ukrinform.

“In the divisions of the occupation forces of Russia, dissatisfaction with participation in hostilities is growing. The Russian invaders are increasingly refusing to fulfill the orders of the command to conduct active offensive operations on the territory of Ukraine,” the message says.

According to military intelligence of Ukraine, despite covert sabotage, several units of the 70th Guards Motor Rifle Regiment have already openly refused to participate in the war and demanded that they be returned to their places of permanent deployment.

[Russian] Unit commanders are trying in every possible way to hide the facts of disobedience. They sent the servicemen, who insistently demanded to return to the territory of Russia, to the most dangerous part of the front, thereby wishing their soonest death.

The intelligence directorate reports that to identify and calm the initiators of refusing to participate in the war, the Federal Security Service’s department of the 58th combined arms army decided to fill the units of the 70th regiment with their freelance agents and informants.

The 70th Guards Motor Rifle Regiment of the 42nd Motor Rifle Division of the 58th Combined Arms Army of the Southern Military District (military unit 71718) is deployed in the city of Shali, the Chechen Republic.

The Main Intelligence Directorate once again warned that all war criminals will be exposed and brought to justice for crimes committed against the Ukrainian civilians.
