Ukraine's Ambassador to US, Olha Stefanishyna, resigns

Ukraine's Ambassador to the United States, Olha Stefanishyna, has submitted her resignation for personal reasons, and President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has approved the request.

Stefanishyna filed her resignation request last week, Caliber.Az reports, citing Ukrainian media.

Meanwhile, Ukrainian lawmaker Oleksii Honcharenko said on his Telegram channel that Stefanishyna had already returned to Kyiv several days ago.

Citing his sources, Honcharenko claimed that Ukraine's National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU) could bring charges against the diplomat.

Yuliia Svyrydenko, who is expected to step down as Ukraine's prime minister, is reportedly being considered to succeed Stefanishyna as ambassador to the United States.
