Ukraine’s Anti-Corruption Bureau raids home of Naftogaz security director

Detectives from Ukraine’s National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU) conducted a search on November 19 at the residence of Vitaliy Brovko, Security Director of Naftogaz of Ukraine.

It is stated that the bureau’s detectives, acting under the procedural guidance of the Specialised Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office, conducted searches at the residence of the security director of Naftogaz of Ukraine, Caliber.Az reports, citing NABU’s press service.

The Anti-Corruption Bureau noted that no individuals were detained and no suspicions were issued. The investigative actions were authorised and conducted in accordance with current legislation.

“These measures do not concern Naftogaz’s activities. Other details are not being disclosed to preserve the secrecy of the pre-trial investigation,” the bureau added.

Earlier, media outlets reported that NABU detectives allegedly arrived this morning to search the new Security Director of the Naftogaz Group, Vitaliy Brovko. The company, however, stated that reports of alleged searches in its offices circulating in some media are not true.
