Ukraine’s ex-president hands over drones, communication equipment to airborne brigade VIDEO
Former (fifth) Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has handed over quadrocopters and a Motorola repeater to the fighters of the airborne brigade.
He made the remarks on Facebook, RBC-Ukraine reports.
"Frontline town in the Donetsk region. The enemy is trying to destroy us with shelling and rockets, but he cannot break the spirit of the Ukrainian people, especially the spirit of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. This is assured by the military from the airborne brigade, who are performing counteroffensive tasks here," Poroshenko wrote.
The Poroshenko Foundation, together with the volunteers of the NGO Spravava Hromad, purchased 350 Autel quadrocopters, as well as pickups, trucks and armoured vehicles for Ukraine's Armed Forces.
The equipment is already at the forefront, and volunteers with the Poroshenko Foundation are working on new multimillion-dollar contracts for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In general, since February 24, Poroshenko's structures have sent more than 500 million hryvnias ($13.6 million) to support the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
