Ukraine's Kyiv faces widespread emergency power outages

Kyiv is currently grappling with extensive power outages affecting large parts of the city, the Telegram channel Politika Strany reports.

The situation on the city’s right bank has worsened significantly, reaching levels of disruption previously reported only on the left bank. The information was attributed to Serhii Kovalenko, CEO of Yasno.

“Emergency power outages are occurring across the entire capital,” Politika Strany stated, highlighting the scale of the energy disruption impacting Kyiv residents.

Overnight and in the morning of January 13, Russian forces attacked Ukraine with 18 Iskander-M ballistic and S-300 guided anti-aircraft missiles, seven Iskander-K missiles, and 293 attack UAVs of the Shahed and Gerbera types and other drones, 200 of them Shaheds.

Russia carried out a massive attack on Kyiv and Kyiv Oblast, as well as other parts of Ukraine, using Shahed drones and missiles, both ballistic and cruise.

Monitoring groups reported that the targets of the nighttime strikes were energy infrastructure facilities.
