Ukraine’s Zelenskyy deprives MP Venislavsky of right to represent him in Rada
Member of Ukraine's Verkhovna Rada Fyodor Venislavsky was deprived of the post of presidential representative in parliament.
The corresponding decree was signed by Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelenskyy, according to Strana.ua.
“To remove Fyodor Vladimirovich Venislavsky from exercising the powers of the presidential representative in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine,” the decree says.
Venislavsky was elected to the Rada in 2019 on the list of the Servant of the People party, of which he is not a member. He is a member of the Committee on National Security, Defense and Intelligence.
In November, the deputy sharply criticized the words of MP Maryana Bezuhla that the commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny should resign because he does not have a military plan for 2024.
According to Venislavsky, Bezuhla’s continued presence in the same committee on defence issues “could threaten the national security of Ukraine,” recalls Gazeta.ru.
