Ukraine says civilian killed in drone attack in Sumy region

A Russian drone strike on a civilian vehicle in Ukraine’s Sumy region has left one person dead and another injured, according to regional authorities.

The head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration, Oleh Hryhorov, said the attack took place in the morning in the Stetskivka starosta district of the Sumy community.

“This morning, Russian forces deliberately targeted a civilian car on the territory of the Stetskivka starosta district of the Sumy community. Unfortunately, as a result of the enemy drone strike, a female passenger was killed. My sincere condolences to the family and loved ones of the deceased. The driver was injured. He was hospitalised, and doctors are providing the necessary assistance,” Hryhorov said.
