Ukraine continues strikes on Russian oil sector, Zelenskyy says UPDATED
Ukrainian forces continue to target facilities linked to Russia's oil sector in response to ongoing Russian attacks and what he described as Moscow's efforts to prolong the conflict, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has stated.
In a post on Telegram, he said units of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) had struck oil depots in Russia's Stavropol Territory and Tver Region, Caliber.Az reports.
Zelenskyy also said Ukrainian forces had targeted a reserve fuel storage facility, an oil pumping station in Ufa and an oil terminal in Russia's Rostov Region.

Ukraine’s Defence Forces have struck multiple maritime and land-based targets, including 12 tankers, a tugboat and a bulk carrier in the Sea of Azov, as well as energy and military infrastructure in Russian-controlled and Russian territory, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said.
According to the General Staff, the strikes also targeted the Yug Rusi oil terminal in Bataysk, in Russia’s Rostov region, and an ammunition depot in Sorokino in the Luhansk region.
The General Staff confirmed the scope of the operation but said the full impact remains under assessment.
The extent of the damage and the results of the strikes are being clarified.
