Ukraine says naval forces strike Russian boats near Kerch Strait VIDEO
Ukraine’s Navy has said it carried out a strike against Russian naval units operating in the area of the Kerch Strait overnight.
In a statement, the Ukrainian Navy said its forces targeted ship and boat units deployed near the approaches to the Kerch Bridge, which connects Russia to Crimea.
“As a result of the strike, the Russian FSB patrol boat Sobol and the anti-sabotage boat Grachonok were hit. The enemy suffered irreversible and sanitary losses.
These vessels are key units of the Coast Guard of the FSB Border Service and the Russian Navy, used for guarding the Kerch Bridge and counter-sabotage operations.
This is another example of the effective work of the Ukrainian Navy and the consistent reduction of the enemy’s capabilities in the Black Sea area,” the statement said.
