Ukraine says over 200 drones shot down in overnight Russian attack PHOTO
Russia launched a large-scale overnight attack on Ukraine using a ballistic missile and more than 230 drones, according to the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU).
The AFU reported that the strike included an “Iskander-M/S-400” ballistic missile, as well as 232 attack drones of the Shahed, Gerbera, Italmas types, and decoy drones of the “Parody” type.

Air defence operations involved aviation units, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare and unmanned systems units, as well as mobile fire groups of the Defence Forces.
As of 08:30, Ukrainian air defence forces said they had shot down or suppressed 217 drones across the north, south, and east of the country.
Authorities reported that one ballistic missile and 14 strike drones hit 14 locations, while debris from downed drones fell at seven additional sites.
“The attack is ongoing, with several enemy UAVs still in Ukrainian airspace. Follow safety rules,” the AFU said.
