Ukraine says Russia withdraws all missile carriers from Black Sea
Ukrainian Defence Forces’ South Operation Command Spokesman Nataliya Gumenyuk has said that Russia has withdrawn all missile carriers from the Black Sea and did not use them during attack on night of June 3 to 4 due to unfavourable weather.
"This time the enemy activity was mainly in the air. These were unmanned strike drones and airborne missiles. Naval missile launchers, frightened by the storm, were driven to their basing points. Nature is on our side," RBC-Ukraine quotes Gumenyuk as saying in a TV marathon.
According to her, the missile carriers were brought into their basing points even before the large-scale air alert in Ukraine began.
As of June 4 morning, a storm is preventing the Russians from putting them out to sea.
Gumenyuk said a total of 12 Russian ships are on alert in the Black Sea.
