Ukraine set to attend upcoming NATO summit in Ankara Volodymyr Zelenskyy confirms

Ukraine will be represented at the upcoming NATO summit in Ankara, Türkiye, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced, according to Ukrainian media.
The event is scheduled for July 7–8 in the Turkish capital and will be held under the chairmanship of NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte.
The previous NATO summit took place on June 24–25, 2025, in The Hague, Netherlands. It marked the first summit led by Rutte and attended by the newly elected US president.
During the gathering, leaders of the 32 member states agreed on a new defense spending target of 5% of GDP by 2035, replacing the previous 2% benchmark. They also reaffirmed continued long-term support for Ukraine.
