Ukraine set to sign detailed security guarantees agreement with EU
Ukraine and the European Union are on track to formalize a comprehensive security guarantees agreement, anticipated to be signed on June 26.
A senior EU official revealed during a briefing on Friday, June 21, that the agreement's text has been finalized after undergoing meticulous negotiations spanning several months, Caliber.Az reports citing German media.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is slated to endorse the agreement in an official ceremony scheduled for Wednesday next week.
The agreement not only outlines the EU's commitment to provide military support to Ukraine but also includes provisions for substantial financial assistance, support for European integration efforts, and cooperation across a wide range of strategic and economic areas. This significant step underscores the deepening partnership between Ukraine and the EU amidst ongoing geopolitical challenges in the region.
