Ukraine troops cut off supply routes for Russian forces in Kupiansk

Ukraine Armed Forces have cut off the supply routes of the Russian group in Kupiansk, and the situation in Izium remains difficult.

“The Armed Forces of Ukraine did not have to go to the crossroads in the Vesely area to the East of Balakliia. They cut the major road to the north,” the Russia-based journalist Alexander Kots said, Lenta.Ru reports.

He noted that for the Russian army, there was an inconvenient supply route from the east through Oskil, in the south of the Oskil Reservoir.

“But the Ukrainian units that approached in the north, in Senkovo, will most likely try to force the river and cut off the road leading south, towards Pisky-Radkivski,” Kots suggested.

The journalist is also sure that the Armed Forces of Ukraine will strive for the highway leading to Rubizhne and Svatove to encircle Kupiansk from the east.

“However, it remains possible to supply the group through the same Oskol from the LPR [unrecognized Luhansk People’s Republic]. Not a highway, of course, but for now I would not talk about the environment,” he wrote, specifying that to completely encircle the Armed Forces of Ukraine, this opportunity should also be cut off.
