Ukraine weapons contact group to hold meeting on November 25
A new meeting of the contact group on weapons supplies to Ukraine, composed of the so-called “Coalition of the Willing,” is scheduled for November 25.
Speaking at a briefing in Brussels, European Commission spokesperson Paula Pinheiro confirmed that the meeting will take place via video conference, Caliber.Az reports per foreign media.
“Regarding the meeting of the 'Coalition of the Willing' on Ukraine, it is understood that it will be held in a videoconference format on Tuesday,” Pinheiro said.
A 30+ nation informal group backing Ukraine will review the outcomes of recent Geneva talks and plan new joint initiatives.
French President Emmanuel Macron, who coordinated the session with UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer, said the video conference will focus on assessing progress and preparing further coordinated actions.
Formed after Russia’s full-scale invasion, the coalition allows Western countries to enhance military and security support for Ukraine without requiring unanimous approval from all allies. Macron previously indicated that the coalition plans to advance force deployment in Ukraine by Christmas.
The group has been actively meeting: its last session on October 24 in London addressed updated support plans, and a Madrid meeting was reported in late October to explore new ways of helping Kyiv.
