Ukrainian Air Forces repel large-scale drone assault overnight

On the night of August 27, Ukraine’s Air Forces successfully thwarted a significant aerial attack as hostile forces deployed 95 Russian-made drones and drone imitators against Ukrainian targets.

According to statements from the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the offensive involved a coordinated barrage primarily consisting of 95 Shahed strike drones alongside various types of drone imitators, Caliber.Az reports, citing Ukrainian media.

Preliminary assessments reveal that by 9:00 AM local time, Ukraine’s integrated air defence systems had intercepted and neutralized 74 of these drones, representing an effective 78 percent of the total assault force.

Military officials remain vigilant as the threat of further drone attacks persists amid continued hostilities.
