Ambassador of Ukraine to Azerbaijan, Vladyslav Kanevskyi, has said that for the first time, the world-famous TEKNOFEST Azerbaijan Aerospace and Technology Festival is being held in Azerbaijan.
“The presentation of the Bayraktar Akinci new generation unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) with Ukrainian-made engines aroused the biggest interest,” Caliber.Az reports referring to Kanevsky’s message on Facebook.
“UAV's load capacity is 1,350 kilograms. A flight can be made at an altitude of more than 12 kilometres thanks to two Ukrainian-made engines. UAV’s wingspan is 20 metres, while a flight period - up to 24 hours. During the event, I met with well-known Turkish businessman and philanthropist, CEO of Baykar, Haluk Bayraktar, and expressed gratitude to him,” the ambassador said.
Kanevskyi noted that the surname Bayraktar is known not only in Ukraine and Azerbaijan, but throughout the world thanks to the Bayraktar TB2 UAV.
