Ukrainian army receives British towed howitzers

Ukraine has received the 105-mm L119 howitzers of British production.

The howitzers have already been delivered to the combat zone, Gazeta.ru reports.

The British 105-mm L119 howitzer can be transported by helicopter or by parachute. The maximum firing range from it is 13.7-km.

Earlier it was reported that Britain will provide Ukraine with 1,600 units of anti-tank weapons, as well as 50,000 artillery shells.

In late June, the British government decided to allocate an additional 1 billion pounds ($ 1.2 billion) to provide military assistance to Ukraine. The new assistance package includes integrated air defence systems, unmanned aerial vehicles and innovative equipment for electronic warfare.
