Ukrainian army repels 25 attacks of Russian troops over past 24 hours

The Russians are focusing their main efforts on attempts to fully occupy the Luhansk and Donetsk regions. Over the past 24 hours, units of the defence forces repelled 25 attacks.

According to RBC-Ukraine with reference to the General Staff of the AFU, over the past 24 hours, the Russian army carried out 12 missile strikes using 10 Iskander ballistic and cruise missiles against Kyiv (destroyed by our defenders) and 2 S-300 anti-aircraft guided missiles against Kharkiv.

In addition, 46 airstrikes and 107 multiple rocket launchers were fired at the Ukrainian troops' positions and settlements. Unfortunately, there were civilian casualties, including children, and damage to a children's clinic, private and apartment buildings, and other civilian infrastructure.

The likelihood of missile and air strikes throughout Ukraine remains high.

In the Volyn and Polessk directions, the operational situation remains constant, and no signs of the formation of offensive groups have been detected.

In the Seversk and Slobozhansky directions, the Russians continue to maintain a military presence in the areas bordering Ukraine. It carried out air strikes, mortar and artillery shelling in the Chernihiv region.

In the Kupyansk direction over the past 24 hours, the enemy conducted unsuccessful offensives west of Masiutovka in the Kharkiv region and near Kuzemovka in the Luhansk region.

The Russian armed forces made no offensive actions in the Avdiivka direction.

In the Maryinka direction, our defenders repelled all enemy attacks near the town of Maryinka.

In the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson directions, the Russian army continues to conduct defensive actions. Carried out air strikes, mortar and artillery shelling in the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions.

Russian authorities continue to force the passportization of the population in the temporarily isolated territories of Kherson Oblast. In particular, the Russian administration has set September 1 of this year as the deadline for obtaining a Russian passport with the mandatory rejection of the Ukrainian passport.

Over the past 24 hours, the aviation of the defence forces carried out nine strikes on the areas where personnel and military equipment were concentrated, and four strikes on the enemy's anti-aircraft missile systems.

The Ukrainian defenders destroyed two Russian Lancet UAVs and one Orlan-10 reconnaissance UAV.

Units of rocket troops and artillery struck 1 control post, 1 antiaircraft missile complex, 5 artillery units at firing positions and 9 areas where enemy weapons and military equipment were amassed.
