Ukrainian citizen stabs people, including three priests, in Poland

A 31-year-old Ukrainian citizen attacked five people with a knife in Poland’s Podkarpackie Voivodeship, including three priests, local police have said.

According to police, four men and one woman were injured in the incident. All five were taken to hospital, Caliber.Az reports, citing Russian media.

The injured included three priests and two laypeople. All five were alive when hospitalised, but three of the men are in critical condition.

The attack took place on the grounds of the Jarosław Abbey on Benedyktyńska Street.

The suspect was detained at the scene by law enforcement officers. Police are conducting investigative measures, questioning witnesses and examining the scene to establish the circumstances of the incident.
