Ukrainian commissioner: Territorial recruitment centres cannot lock up citizens VIDEO

Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights, Dmytro Lubinets, told a temporary investigative commission that Territorial Recruitment and Social Support Centres (TCC) have no authority to detain, arrest, or hold Ukrainian citizens. 

According to him, such actions violate the Constitution of Ukraine and the European Convention on Human Rights, Caliber.Az reports, citing the Ukrainian Telegram channel.

Lubynets noted that TCC staff often operate without identification and conceal their faces, which is also illegal. In some cases, officers unlawfully seize personal belongings, including mobile phones.

Amid these concerns, videos showing forced mobilisation by TCC personnel are actively circulating online.
