Ukrainian delegation hopes to meet with Trump, official says
Head of the Ukrainian presidential office Andriy Yermak has stated that the Ukrainian delegation still hopes to meet with Donald Trump, a candidate for the US presidency.
"We will present our 'Victory Plan' to President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris. We also hope to have a meeting with Donald Trump," Yermak said, Caliber.Az reports, citing Russian media.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy previously announced his intention to present a plan for resolving the conflict in Ukraine not only to President Joe Biden but also to key presidential candidates from the Democratic Party, Kamala Harris, and from the Republican Party, Donald Trump.
President Zelenskyy has frequently criticised Trump’s proposals for peace negotiations. Following his arrival in the US, he visited Pennsylvania - one of the crucial states in the upcoming elections -where he participated in events alongside Governor of Pennsylvania, Democratic politician Josh Shapiro. Trump referred to Zelenskyy as "the best dealmaker in history" at a rally in Pennsylvania on September 23.
