Ukrainian drones hit energy infrastructure across three Russian regions VIDEO

31 October 2025 13:37

In the early hours of October 31, a series of explosions shook multiple regions of Russia as Ukrainian drones targeted critical energy infrastructure. The incidents affected Oryol, Vladimir, and Yaroslavl, highlighting the ongoing escalation of cross-border strikes.

In Oryol, a drone struck a thermal power plant (CHP), leaving portions of the city without electricity, Caliber.Az reports, citing Ukrainian media.

Russian Telegram channels reported that the drone impacted an open distribution device, causing widespread power disruption.

In Vladimir, a fire broke out at the Vladimirskaya substation, a 750 kV high-voltage facility that forms a crucial part of the energy ring supplying Moscow and surrounding regions. The substation transmits power from several nuclear and thermal power plants—including those in Smolensk, Kostroma, and Ryazan—toward the capital and central Russia.

In Yaroslavl, residents reported explosions near the Slavneft-YANOS oil refinery, prompting the temporary closure of the local airport. The regional governor confirmed the attack but provided no detailed information regarding the extent of the damage.
