Ukrainian embassy in Azerbaijan lowers flags after deadly Kyiv strike
The Embassy of Ukraine in Azerbaijan has lowered its flags to half-mast and opened a book of condolence in memory of those killed in a deadly strike on a residential building in Kyiv, joining Ukrainian diplomatic missions worldwide in commemorating the victims.
The announcement was made by Ukraine’s Ambassador to Azerbaijan, Yuriy Husyev, in a post published on the social media platform X, Caliber.Az reports.
On May 14, Russia’s massive strike on Kyiv killed 24 people, including 3 children.

Deepest condolences to the families of the victims,” Husyev wrote.
The attack targeted a building in Kyiv’s Darnytskyi district, claiming the lives of 24 people and injuring another 48, according to official reports.
In response to the tragedy, authorities in the Ukrainian capital have declared May 15 a Day of Mourning.
