Ukrainian FM: domestic production covers up to 75% of army needs
Ukraine’s foreign minister Andrii Sybiha has stated that the country’s domestic defence industry is now supplying up to three-quarters of the military’s needs and is responsible for the vast majority of long-range strikes, highlighting rapid growth in weapons production and battlefield capabilities.
Sharing a post on X, the foreign minister said at the opening of an exhibition of Ukrainian weapons, drones, and defence technologies that the country’s domestic defence industry already provides up to 75% of the needs of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and up to 95% of long-range strikes, Caliber.Az reports.

Sybiha emphasised the rapid development of Ukraine’s defence sector.
“The fact that we are renewing it just one year later speaks volumes about the pace of Ukraine’s defence industry. Today, domestic production covers up to 3/4 of our military’s needs and accounts for up to 95% of long-range strikes against the aggressor,” he said.
He also noted that more than 1,300 new Ukrainian weapons systems were adopted into service over the past year.
“The solutions presented here are not only defending Ukraine — they are proving their effectiveness globally, now helping to ensure effective protection of life in the Gulf,” he added.
Sybiha further recalled that four years ago, on April 13, Ukrainian Neptune missiles sank the Russian Black Sea Fleet flagship “Moscow.”
He said the system is now displayed at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in an upgraded version as a symbol of Ukraine’s growing capabilities.
