Ukrainian forces report 10 Russian attack drones hit four locations
Russian forces launched a nighttime drone attack on Ukraine, with 10 drones confirmed to have struck four locations, while most enemy targets were intercepted by air defence, RBC-Ukraine reports, citing the Ukrainian Air Force’s Telegram channel.
“On the night of 2 March, the enemy attacked with 94 strike drones, including Shahed, Gerber, and Italmas types, and other UAVs, targeting areas in Orel, Millerovo, Shatalovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk (Russia), and Hvardiiske in Crimea. Around 70 were Shaheds,” the Air Force said.
The assault was countered by aviation, surface-to-air missile units, electronic warfare and drone units, and mobile fire groups of Ukraine’s Defense Forces.
As of 08:00, Ukrainian air defence had shot down or suppressed 84 enemy drones across northern, southern, and eastern regions.
The Ukrainian Air Force confirmed 10 attack drones hit four locations, with additional downed drones falling in two locations.
“The attack is ongoing, with several enemy UAVs still in the airspace. Please follow safety rules,” the Air Force warned.
