Ukrainian foreign minister quotes Quran in response to Iranian criticism
Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha responded sharply to remarks from his Iranian counterpart Abbas Araghchi, who had labeled President Volodymyr ZelenskYy “a confused clown” and accused him of “plundering American and European taxpayers.”
As Caliber.Az reports, Sybiha countered by citing the Quran.
Getting offended at President @ZelenskyyUa’s words is like getting offended at the mirror.

“As in Surah Az-Zukhruf (43:78), "We had certainly brought you the truth, but most of you, to the truth, were averse," he wrote on X.
“The world is tired of Dalqaks. It’s time for Tehran to stop drowning its own people in blood while lining pockets and fueling numerous wars at the expense of Iranians who yearn for peace and a better life,” Sybiha added.
The exchange follows President Zelenskyy’s recent address at the Davos forum, where he criticized Europe for its inaction amid the violent crackdown on protests in Iran. Zelenskyy warned that failing to support populations striving for freedom can have dire consequences, citing Belarus in 2020 as a cautionary example.
In retaliation, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi reiterated his accusations, claiming Zelenskyy was “rinsing” Western taxpayers to enrich corrupt generals. He added pointedly that “the world is tired of these confused clowns.”
