Ukrainian, Georgian leaders congratulate Maia Sandu on re-election as Moldovan president
On November 4 morning, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy sent a congratulatory message to Maia Sandu, who won the second round of the presidential elections in Moldova.
Zelenskyy stated on his X page that the people of Moldova have made a decisive choice, opting for a path that prioritises economic growth and social stability, Caliber.Az reports.

Meanwhile, Salome Zourabichvili, the President of Georgia, was among the first to extend her congratulations to Sandu following her victory.

Notably, Maia Sandu secured over 55.2% of the votes, defeating Alexandr Stoianoglo, the candidate from a pro-Russian party.
A significant factor in Sandu’s success was the support from the Moldovan diaspora, as Stoianoglo had been leading in the polls within the country until the very end.
