Ukrainian intelligence destroys two Russian Be-12 amphibious aircraft VIDEO

Ukrainian intelligence has, for the first time in history, destroyed two Russian Be-12 Chaika amphibious anti-submarine aircraft. 

The Main Intelligence Directorate of Ukraine (DIU) confirmed the operation, which took place on September 21 in temporarily occupied Crimea, Caliber.Az reports, citing Ukrainian media.

According to the DIU, the successful strike was carried out by operatives from the special unit known as “Primari” (Ghosts). Ukrainian intelligence stated that this marked the first recorded destruction of the Be-12 aircraft type in the history of warfare.

In addition to the two Be-12 aircraft, the Ghosts unit also targeted and hit a Russian Mi-8 multi-purpose helicopter during the same raid.
