A number of Ukrainian officials, commanders who distinguished themselves in the war with Russia, congratulated Azerbaijani journalists on the National Press Day on July 22.
According to Report, among those who congratulated the Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada (Parliament) of Ukraine on freedom of speech, deputy Yevhen Bragar, Chairman of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Parliament of Ukraine Alyona Zhuk, combat commander of the Ukrainian army Roman Sologub, adviser to the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Lyudmila Dolgonovska, Ukrainian special forces officer Volodymyr Laguta.
Editor-in-chief of the UNIAN news Agency Mikhail Gannitsky also congratulated his Azerbaijani colleagues on National Press Day:
"During the five and a half months of this war, we have become convinced that Azerbaijani journalists are our true friends, honest, professional reporters, journalists who truthfully, impartially cover the events taking place in Ukraine. Therefore, Roskomnadzor blocked the site Oxu.Az in Russia. Nevertheless, the Azerbaijani and world public can read the truthful reports of Baku TV, the Report news agency, and the Oxu.Az website. And it's very nice. I cannot but note that our Azerbaijani colleagues, working in hot spots on the frontline, in Ukraine, find an opportunity to provide humanitarian assistance to people in need who have suffered as a result of the Russian occupation. This is an indicator of the friendship of our nations, high-quality journalism, and love for people. Thanks to the Azerbaijani journalists! Congratulations on the holiday."
