Ukrainian Parliament to introduce draft law on upcoming elections

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine is set to present a draft law governing the conduct of forthcoming elections, Speaker Ruslan Stefanchuk announced.

Stefanchuk explained that the legislation is being drafted by Rada members in consultation with experts and representatives from the Central Election Commission, aiming to ensure a comprehensive and inclusive electoral process, Caliber.Az reports, citing Ukrainian media.

He emphasized that the bill is designed to guarantee voting rights for military personnel and allow them to stand for election. In addition, the legislation seeks to enable participation for around eight million Ukrainians currently living abroad, ensuring broad representation in the electoral process.
