Ukrainian police officer of Azerbaijani origin killed in Russian attack on Donetsk Saved people, risking his life

In the Donetsk region, a Ukrainian National Police officer of Azerbaijani origin, Chingiz Gurbanov, was killed as a result of a Russian attack.

The regional police department reported that the 42-year-old officer’s vehicle was hit by a Russian strike drone.

Gurbanov was on duty, assisting in the evacuation and providing aid to civilians. He is survived by his wife and two children.

“Under bombs and drones, he helped civilians, risking his own life... We bow our heads in mourning and express our deepest condolences to the family and loved ones of Chingiz Gurbanov,” the police statement said.
