Ukrainian president highlights troop valor amid stalled Russian attacks
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has provided an update on the ongoing conflict in Ukraine, sharing a report from General Valerii Zaluzhnyi, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, regarding the current frontline situation.
Zelenskyy posted the report on his Telegram channel, noting that Russian forces are attempting to escalate offensive operations. However, he said these efforts have resulted in increased losses for Russia and have not disrupted Ukrainian military activities.
“It is important to note that Russia has failed to achieve its objectives in the border areas of Sumy, Kharkiv, and Donetsk, and once again, it is delaying its timelines,” Zelenskyy wrote.
Highlighting the performance of Ukrainian forces on the southern front, Zelenskyy expressed gratitude to military personnel, stating, “Our units continue to fulfill assigned tasks – I thank every unit, every soldier, sergeant, and officer for this.”
He added that discussions with the Commander-in-Chief also covered plans for “operations aimed at delivering deep strikes,” underscoring Ukraine’s ongoing strategic efforts against Russian positions.
